How the calculations work
Completed candles only
Signals use closed five-minute candles, not the still-forming candle. At least 21 completed candles are required. In early sessions, the scanner shows Warming up.
Session-based indicators
EMA starts from a simple average and uses exponential smoothing. VWAP is the session’s volume-weighted typical price (high + low + close) / 3, based on completed candles.
Verified, fresh prices
Live signals pause when quotes are stale. Market-feed frames and exchange trade timestamps must be fresh. A connected socket alone never qualifies as LIVE.
Common questions
Does this scanner trade futures or options?
No. It scans NSE cash equities that are eligible for F&O, using their official NSE_EQ instrument keys. It does not scan individual option or futures contracts.
Does a BUY or SELL signal guarantee a profitable trade?
No. These are mechanical technical conditions, not predictions or recommendations. Use paper trading to evaluate the strategy and your own risk limits.
Will stops and targets execute automatically?
No. This is paper trading only. You manually record an exit in the journal. No order-placement endpoint is included.
Can sample data be used for practice?
Yes. Sample data is static and clearly labelled SIMULATED. Paper trades opened from it retain a Sample price label in the journal.
